Transradial vascular access is one of the hottest topics in interventional medicine today. With an anticipated ten-fold increase in its utilization in the US over the next few years, the benefits from this procedure in reducing costs and bleeding complications and increasing patient satisfaction have heightened the interest of many interventionalists in incorporating it into their practices.
Fellows should Register NOW as we can only accept 20 fellows into this program!
There is no charge for fellows to attend this program and we will provide reimbursement for travel expenses up to $500. Should you be accepted, we will confirm with you and notify your program director of your enrollment. If not accepted due to a full program, we'll let you know and add you as an enrollee in our next program.

TRAVEL
The PAMEAS Transradial Institute will reimburse fellows UP TO $500 after the program for travel-related expenses. Fellows are responsible for any travel costs over $500. After the program we will provide a travel expense form for completion and submission to PAMEAS along with travel receipts for your reimbursement.
It is suggested you travel to Chicago on Sept 7 and leave after the program on Sept 8.

PURPOSE/GOAL
The purpose of this activity is to demonstrate the transradial coronary angiography and intervention procedure.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Interventional Cardiology and 2nd/3rd year General Cardiology Fellows in the Midwest.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After completing this preceptorship, the participant will be able to:
- Evaluate evidence for radial artery angiography
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of accessing the radial artery and performing diagnostic coronary angiography via this access site
- Recognize the pre-procedure and post-procedure management of patients undergoing this procedure
- Acquire knowledge of techniques and equipment related to percutaneous coronary intervention via the radial artery
